Yesterday I got to attend the Empowering Girls for life event. I learned, listened and even got to meet many amazing coaches from UCLA, Penn state, Florida state and even a current AUSL pro!

I learned so many valuable lessons not just about the game of softball but about life which will help me grow as a person on and off the field. I learned many lessons but one of my favorites was that your failures don’t define who you are, it’s how you come back from them and how you react. Your failures are apart of your game and also apart of life but we learn from them and we grow from them. I also got to hear about the recruiting process and how athletes balance their school work and softball.

Im so grateful for this opportunity to hear from these inspiring women and I can’t wait to attend next year!

Got the opportunity to go to the @UIC_Softball camp these past two days! I had an amazing time learning about using my muscles in my lower body for hitting. I can’t wait to take what I’ve learned and apply it to games coming up this fall. Thank you @CoachC_Meg @Coach_NatNat and the UIC staff for hosting a great camp!

This weekend was our first tournament with our Cheetahs summer team, but not the outcome we wanted. This weekend I had a .750 AVG at the plate, .875 OBP and 5 QAB, but still many improvements to make.
