@RepPettersen Others have to step in and cover for you while you are off. If you have a newborn, you should be off, being a mom while someone else steps in. If you are back from your leave, you should be at work, doing your job. Just like everyone else.
@RepPettersen In the real world, you take off your FMLA leave for 12 weeks. You don’t even get paid for all of that and you have to use your vacation to try and offset some of the income loss that you have to absorb during that time. You are prohibited from working during that 12 week leave.
@elonmusk@elonmusk But eliminating single use plastic is not pointless. That’s the problem that needs to be solved by using products that can be legitimately recycled like metals and paper products—or better yet products that can be composted. Someone needs to fix it
