Note that $WCP is only $0.37 away from its all time high of $17.34.
$WCP is the best all around Cdn oil producer with the most share price upside among all larger cap producers.
$25+ next year and purchased at $35 in 2028.

Please remember that despite the likelihood that $SDE will buy $CJ, don’t ignore the fact that they are partners is a huge track of very oil rich Duvernay lands about the best offered in Alberta.
Accordingly, while $SDE’s shares are running up, so should $CJ’s shares.
I recognize the large jumps in $JOY’s share price over the last two trading days. Nevertheless, $JOY hit $6.81 three months ago and I would suggest, for various reasons I have mentioned too many times already, $JOY is by far a better buy today at just over $5.
Found out Eric Nuttall has been stealing my thunder by copying my calls.
For example he stated today:
- we are in worst energy crisis ever,
- $CJ huge holding in div. fund
- $WCP biggest holding main fund
- holds only oil names
- hates gas producers

The outlook for oil prices and oil stocks is now much more bullish than it was on February 28 when the US attacked Iran and WTI oil price hit $122.
I implore you to listen to me and make oil stocks by far your largest weighting.
Yes, sell some of your banks and buy oil stocks.
30 years ago as an analyst I made many bold, mostly correct calls. Obviously that ship sailed a long time ago. Still, I am thrilled that my call early last week, when most thought a US/Iran deal was imminent, I stated no deal was coming.
This was about the best call I ever made.
WTI oil price up 4.1% and NYMEX natural gas price up 4.6%, what a beautiful day.
I truly hope you are not sitting on your hands but rather buying all your favourite oil and even gas names now. They will only be at higher share prices tomorrow and the day after, and the day after!
Every day that the US and Iran are not talking is another day on average you will see oil prices rise by $1 -$2. And this range will rise over time.
Neither one will now blink for quite a while.
Make hay while the sun shines😀
Note that the 9% of $JOY’s shares outstanding that AIMCo sold was at around $6/share. Since $SDE bought, unknown yet, for 2.5 million $SDE shares ($30 million), I can assume with considerable certainty that $SDE paid $6/share for the block of $JOY shares.
Any $JOY bid must be >$6
Why definitely own $JOY:
- 30% interest with $SDE drilling annually over 20 Duvernay wells, each close to 2,000 b/d, 80% oil,
- as explained Friday, there is an 80% prob. $SDE will buy $JOY with stock equivalent to over $7/share, and
- oil prices strong
