🚨 QSI are exploring the potential acquisition of Malaga CF, as @MarkKleinmanSky called.

Malaga currently in the Spanish second division and are owned by Spanish hotel and real estate group BlueBay (49%) and Qatari businessman Abdullah Al Thani (51%). QSI looking to buy 100% of the club.

Malaga is currently in administration and under judicial control.

QSI has rapidly expanded in recent years, buying a 21.67% stake in Portuguese club Braga. QSI also launched Premier Padel.

And Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) bought a stake in Formula 1 team Audi in 2024 and in NBA team Washington Wizards in 2023.

Understand Malaga is viewed as an attractive proposition for QSI due to the club’s rich football history and potential.

Stadium redevelopment plans also seen as a plus. Malaga set to be a host city for World Cup in 2030. Club also opened a new training centre in 2023.

Malaga's Academy is also seen as one of the best for youth development.
