Cold bright winter days make for amazing flying! Four lucky cadets get the opportunity to take to the skies with their ever superb hosts @10AEF@OhgsPrincipal@graemetbell
For the very first time OHGS entered the Schools Meeting at Bisley - huge congratulations to CSM Brierley and Sgt Anselm on winning the Schools Pairs.A truly outstanding achievement!! @OHGSCCF@OhgsPrincipal
Exactly one year to the day since first shouldering a target rifle, Sgt Anselm has excelled herself at her first Schools Meeting. The trophy is for winning the 500 yds against 328 other cadets. Several other medals and spoons and Cadet 100 Badge. @OhgsPrincipal@graemetbell
With impeccable organisation our TEST Sgt arranged for the hottest day to be last with a visit to the aqua park - it’s safe to say the cadets had an absolute blast!! @OhgsPrincipal@graemetbell@aircadets
Another packed day of activities we had our drill competition. The smallest of margins decided the victor but at the end the cadets were treated to several Typhoons taking off close to where they stood. Off to the cinema now to round the day off. @OhgsPrincipal@graemetbell
After a visit to the amazing East Kirkby heritage centre to see the Lancaster and Mosquito taxiing the cadets have had a bit of shooting practice in the afternoon. @graemetbell@OhgsPrincipal
Todays STEM activity was designing a next gen aircraft for the Royal Air Force, here the winning team were putting the finishing touches to their supersonic cargo plane. @OhgsPrincipal@graemetbell
Our cadets got the chance to be up close and personal with Typhoons from 29 Squadron this afternoon - was an amazing experience! @OhgsPrincipal@graemetbell
A flypast salute by the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team and black jets emblazoned with skull and crossbones was fitting farewell as RAF Leeming marked the closing of illustrious 100 Squadron.
The station won’t be the same without you.
Well done Mrs Begum, that was a fabulous Red Nose Day - highlight being the red nose and spoon race! Great work year 8 girls on the bake sale, and year 11 boys for their assembly. 🔴
A glorious day, tinged with sadness as 100 Sqn completes its final sortie in the aggressor role. Wg Cdr Ted Taylor-Head, OC 100 Sqn, said: “It was beautiful - you could see for miles. It’s great to have all the guys here. As I’ve said before, they ARE the Squadron.”
