Cranford HS Choir is for everyone! Tell an 8th grader to sign up for Treble Chorus or Tenor/Bass Chorus next year! To dispel any confusion, students don’t need to audition or apply to the career academy program to participate in Chorus, just take the class to sing! #cranfordsings
The Winter Concert will happen tonight, but audience is limited to families only. The auditorium is completely reserved and there are no tickets available at the door. Extended family, alumni, and other friends are invited to watch on TV35 or YouTube https://t.co/AElAb5yAfz
It was a joy to study works by the “Titan of the American musical” in our Broadway revue this past spring. Sondheim was the most important composer and lyricist of the last fifty years. At CHS, we will definitely find opportunities to honor and celebrate Sondheim and his work.
Breaking News: Stephen Sondheim is dead at 91. One of Broadway’s most revered songwriters, he set the standard for the American musical. https://t.co/U6f5QeP5H9
We couldn’t bring the whole dept to visit the middle schools as usual, but it was great to share some of our CHS perf arts programs today. Our enrollments decreased due to Covid, and we need to encourage more participation. The arts are for everyone! #cranfordarts#cranfordsings
Glad to work with my friend Dr. Nick McBride at TCNJ and accompany their high school honors festival this afternoon. Looking forward to welcoming Dr. McBride to CHS to do a masterclass with the CHS Concert Choir in the spring semester.
Lots of work prepping for the Opening Gala on Thursday. It’s been challenging to prep this concert quickly especially with all the Covid restrictions, but we’re looking forward to welcoming a limited audience to CHS! #cranfordarts
Check out the CHS Instrumental Showcase and the Winter Art School on Cranford Arts. Great work from all our arts students and my colleagues! #cranfordarts https://t.co/FEKQ8vGTNv
"What if instead of more violence, we let our weapons fall silent....It could be beautiful...Can we see the other as our sister or our brother? Can we sing the darkness to light, sounding chords of compassion and grace?"

The arts—music, theater, drawing and painting—are powerful tools for making sense of the world. New studies are beginning to pull them back towards the *center* of the academic curriculum. 🎨🎭🎸

For months I've been saying that we can't go back to the way things were. The pandemic has forced us to rethink everything about education. Once we're beyond it, we need need to be bold in reshaping and innovating education for a 21st century community. https://t.co/BRxH9JgjOZ
