I also have this piece, for nearly a decade, I returned to Pthis place again and again.

It is one of the mountains closest to home, a landmark that has accompanied me through years of photographing the night sky. Over time, I became fascinated by the idea of aligning the Moon with its summit, but the geometry was incredibly precise. The Moon had to rise from exactly the right position, at the right time of year, and from the right place on the landscape.

For years, that image existed only in my imagination. As planning tools became more advanced, I was finally able to calculate the alignment and return to the mountain with a clear objective. On that night, after nearly ten years of visits, the Moon emerged directly behind the summit and transformed the familiar silhouette into something entirely new.

Created in collaboration with sound artist @RafffaGomess, this work reflects on mountains not as destinations, but as companions through time.

(1/10) From the moment I drew it inside my head, took me 3 years to get this piece done. Finding a forest full of fireflies was not easy cause they are in extinction due to pesticides and light pollution.
