I understand everybody’s frustration but Mookie Betts never wanted to work on an extension and the penalties for going over the luxury tax threshold only get worse after this year, Bloom somehow converted 1 year of Mookie for 5 years of Verdugo, 2 prospects and financial freedom.

@Casey_237 If we wait a year we don’t have to pay a $100 million fine for going over it multiple years in a row. He wants $100 million for then we offered him. He also wants to be a free agent so it made sense to trade him.
