Shared on different pathways to a UN career from my POV with some youth not quite long & it was a great session.
Yapped a bit but was brutally honest on what I believe they need to chart a path. Less fixation on the institution, more intentionality towards building key skills.
@Hiadenike Me, I’m in between. I can like you before the conversation. Will just be praying that the conversation seals it up because if I don’t feel you after the conversation, the initial likeness disappears.
I've never been unemployed past 2/3 months.
Started working at 16 (sales girl, usher, teacher). My biggest advice is never wait idly for the dream job. Find anything to put food on the table, keep you busy, and fund your growth.
When I was earning 30k teaching, I was crying myself to sleep, almost every day confused about the future.
But I made sacrifices, even cut my hair to save money, and woke up at 2 AM every day to learn graphic design via YouTube because I couldn't afford daily data.
It was hard, really, very hard, I was dealing with a heartbreak, questioning my worth all at once, but I kept showing up because I knew no one was coming to save me.
Use the "unemployment" phase to survive basics, strip away excesses, and aggressively train yourself. The preparation is hard, but it’s setting you up for something much bigger.
Here’s how to apply for a role on @UNVolunteers platform.
This is one of the easiest things to do on the platform. You shouldn’t have any issues applying at all. But if you do, please let me know the specific issues & I’ll try to help.

I love seeing creatives redesign iconic local brands. This Gala concept is sleek, modern, and visually clean.
But as a brand strategist, before i am a designer, looking at the new design highlights a massive trap
I will break it down. 🧵
The kidnapped children are actual children. Actual parents have woken up every day without their children.
We must not become desensitised to the pain of others. Nigeria must become uncomfortable for everyone who has a sworn responsibility to protect the lives of Nigerians.
