Chris is looking pleased, he's just heard that we're appearing at Crich Tramway Museum in Derbyshire, the 9th/10th Nov. Its a special 'out of season' late event, finishing at 8pm so the trams and town can get lit up.

We are patiently waiting for the Xmas events to start so we can get out doing what we enjoy.
What's that? An event has been dropped into our calendar for November??
It's true, an event at a new venue for us. Stay tuned to our socials for further details...

Only a week to go until we leave the smog of the city, for fresh country air. We'll be at Beeley in Derbyshire for their Beeley Open Gardens event.
Come and say hello and see some wonderful characters, including the showman with his Victorian curiosities.

Yes, we know it's hard to believe... but this saturday, it's our third event in a row. Come and see us at Leominster's Christmas Market and get some Christmas gifts at the same time. You know it makes sense...

As our urchins return to their Ragged schools, it's time to take stock of all of the children's shoes we have in the group, ready to pass outgrown items to the next child down. Each urchin adds new stains and repairs along with more memories of carefree days playing in the dirt.
This weekend we are at Chiltern Open Air Museum in Buckinghamshire. It's a wonderful museum with plenty to see, and we're there as a bonus. Hope to see some of you there.

On this day in 1834, The Poor Law Amendment Act was passed. This was brought in to remove the burden of supporting the poor from the local parish, and instead provide workhouses, where the poor would be housed and made to work to earn their keep.

This weekend we are making tracks to Cromford Steam Rally. It's a great event, not purely related to steam. See link below for further details.

"When a dear dark eyed gentleman passed there and said, in a way that made all o' me colour rose-red,
'What do I see- O pretty knee!'
And he came and he tied up my garter for me."
