A pub has existed on the site since the 1530s but was quickly rebuilt the year after the fire in 1667.

This has been quite the cold spell! Snow from Saturday/Sunday last week still around a week later, while snow melt did occur throughout Sunday, there's been minimal snow melt throughout the days since. Untouched shaded spots in garden still at a good 3-4cm of snow cover. ❄️

I love seeing these pics. I looked after a cocker spaniel every weekend from a few months old to age 5 when her family sadly moved miles away.

Their exuberance and love of life is fabulous to watch. Charlie is lovely 😍
