This man is an Iranian American, who fled Iran as a Christian because of Sharia Law . He is pleading with the city council in Texas to not allow Islam any leeway. He says something that struck me. He said we were “soft Christians”. We allowed Islam into our way of life.

Another nail in the coffin of the unconstitutional mass surveillance state was hammered in yesterday by a federal court out of Mississippi.

Justice Reeves authored the ruling which affirmed that "tower dump" warrants, where police get access to records for every cellphone that connected to cell towers around a crime scene, are in fact unconstitutional under the Fourth Amendment.

This would have been obvious to literally everyone prior the "Patriot Act" being passed but it's taken 20+ years for the cases to make it through the courts. A piece of legislation, like the "Patriot Act," can't supersede The Bill Of Rights.

In 2003, Melanie Shaha was diagnosed with a benign pituitary brain tumor. Surgeries helped for a while, but when the tumor returned in 2017, she underwent radiation treatment. The treatment stopped the tumor's growth, but it also permanently damaged the hair follicles on part of her scalp.

She often said she could handle being sick. What hurt most was feeling that everyone could immediately see she was sick whenever she walked outside.

Her son, Matt, never forgot those words.

In 2020, he made a quiet decision. He would grow his hair until there was enough to make a custom wig for his mom. For the next two and a half years, he didn't cut it once. By 2022, he had donated 12 inches of his strawberry blond hair, which closely matched Melanie's natural color.

A California company called Compassionate Creations transformed that donation into a custom wig made specifically for her.

Months later, Melanie put it on for the first time.

She looked in the mirror and said she finally felt like herself again.

Matt later explained his decision with a sentence that needed no further explanation.

"She gave me the hair in the first place."

Some gifts can never be bought. They can only be grown, one day at a time.

The hacker destroyed the files when he was raided by the FBI and CONFESSED to the illegal hacking.

Once again, the gun grabbers at Giffords are peddling falsehoods. This is simply a lie, no other way to say it.

Eliminating the unconstitutional NFA "laws" doesn't repeal the Gun Control Act restrictions (unfortunately).

I wouldn't hold my breath for a retraction/correction though as truth isn't part of their business model...

Happy 40th Birthday to Samus and Metroid, released in Japan August 6, 1986! 🥳 The NES release followed August 15, 1987.

Metroid revolutionized non-linear exploration over linear gameplay and remains one of the most influential games ever made. It follows the galaxy’s greatest space bounty hunter, Samus Aran, into the labyrinthine fortress-planet Zebes to stop the Space Pirates from replicating stolen Metroid organisms. A profound sense of isolation is brilliantly captured during Samus’ descent into Zebes, reflected in its sprawling, interconnected world.

Progression is deliberately blocked, requiring players to search for power-ups like the Morph Ball that unlock previously unreachable areas. That design philosophy became the foundation for countless games and helped establish what would later be known as the “Metroidvania” genre.

The title combines “metro” and “android,” and Alien director Ridley Scott’s film was cited as a major influence. Composer Hirokazu Tanaka, who created the brilliantly minimalist score, is also credited with suggesting the twist that Samus was a woman. There are five possible endings depending on completion time, rewarding an early form of “speedrunning” by revealing Samus’s identity in the third through fifth endings.

My first exposure to Metroid was actually Captain N! 😆 There, the chief antagonist is Mother Brain operating out of the asteroid base “Metroid.” Other villains like Ridley appear, but Samus herself only shows up in the comics. I loved playing the game at my friend’s house, though I didn’t own it growing up. There are two label variants (the gray being in the NES, and the yellow on display in the photo).

I was quite fortunate to grow up with heroines like Samus, who is one of the greatest characters in all of gaming. ❤️

Ambrose Ramsey Jr. (19) opened fire with a switch equipped firearm inside a clothing store in Memphis attempting to kill his "op" on Sunday.

Of course, he didn't hit the man he was attempting to kill and instead shot an innocent male child in the store who is expected to recover after being taken to Regional One Hospital.

The man he was trying to kill then returned fire but missed every shot.

Train accordingly...

Half the rangeland in this country is still in drought. The US cattle herd is the smallest since 1951. Nobody's rebuilding because there's no grass to rebuild on. New World screwworm just crossed into Texas, adding another layer of risk that pulls supply off the market.

And a guy who spent 25 years in global finance before starting a ranch tech company said something on this podcast that stopped me: "The prices aren't high. The prices are exactly what they should be for the amount of risk it takes to grow beef."

That's the line. Risk. Drought. Screwworm. A 2-year bet from when you retain a heifer to when she produces a calf you can sell. The same line of credit that ran 1,000 head a few years ago now runs 275. That's the squeeze. Input costs haven't come down. Labor hasn't gotten easier. And the consumer keeps buying.

I raise my own. I know what it costs. The price of beef isn't the problem. The price of beef is the price of doing it right in a country that's making it harder every year to do it at all.
