Meeting with the heads of UNDP and UNICEF, as well as the Afgha Armenian representative in Uzbekistan, to advocate for the advancement and support of female scholars in Central Asian countries and to explore opportunities for recruiting female volunteer teachers.
Afghan girls and students in Central Asian and neighboring countries, despite facing unemployment, uncertainty, and the risk of deportation, continue to work with commitment as volunteer teachers with Rahela Trust Online School.
Semi-structured and focus group discussions were conducted with Afghan women master's and PhD students. The sessions highlighted efforts to recruit volunteer teachers and advocate with the United Nations for the extension of scholarships for Afghan girls' education in Uzbekistan.
