The 16’th session of the Hirshabelle Parliament commenced today under my official opening. I provided lawmakers with updates on my recent trip, regional development projects, reconciliation efforts, and plans to mobilize local communities in the fight against Al-Shabaab.

Yesterday, we engaged with the El-Baraf community. We listened to their needs and concerns.
We also inaugurated the new District Administrative Headquarters, which was funded by the community.

Together with the Vice President and some members of the cabinet, we have engaged with the local community of Jalalaqsi, to listen to their needs & concerns, encourage them on the importance of peace, and foster a sense of unity and shared progress among the people of Jalalaqsi.

This morning, we have laid the groundwork for several development projects in Jalalaqsi, including the District administrative HQ.
We have also visited the Bridge, the Hospital, and the Airport to assess them and determine how we can improve these facilities.

We are grateful for the warm welcome we have received in Jalalaqsi District today.

During our time here, we will lay foundation of new development projects, engage with the community to listen to their needs, and organize local communities to continue the liberation.
