Thank you to Safe Space for Girls (SP4G) Association for their kind visit.

Had the occasion to explore different fields including advancing mental health, safety and leadership for adolescents and women in The Gambia.

We were pleased to host the team from Safe Space for Girls (SP4G), a woman-led organization dedicated to advancing the mental health, safety and leadership of adolescent girls and women in The Gambia. Founder Sophie Manneh, together with Ms. Ramatoulie Jallow and Ms. Nyanya Manneh, shared insights into their ongoing work in psychosocial support, protection, advocacy and community-based empowerment initiatives.

Their dedication, particularly in supporting survivors of SGBV, FGM and child marriage, and in establishing safe spaces in rural communities, is truly commendable. We discussed potential areas of collaboration, especially ahead of the upcoming 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

We appreciate their meaningful efforts and look forward to exploring ways to support initiatives that promote mental health, dignity and resilience for women and girls across The Gambia.
