Ancient Hindu Idols Found in Kashmir.

Local labourers have unearthed ancient Hindu idols, including 11 Shivlings, during the renovation of a spring at Karkoot Nag in the Salia area of Anantnag district’s Aishmuqam in South Kashmir. The discovery was made during clearing a section of the spring.

As the water level had receded in recent months, the workers uncovered a small compartment-like stone structure inside the spring, where the idols had apparently been placed and preserved underwater.

Mohammed Javed, one of the accused in the brutal murder of Kanhaiya Lal, has moved Supreme Court to stop the release of movie "Udaipur Files".

Javed was arrested by NIA for conducting a recce and passing information about Kanhaiya Lal's presence at his shop to the killers. Rajasthan High Court granted bail to Javed due to lack of evidence.

When killers filmed the beheading of Kanhaiya Lal and proudly uploaded it, they were glorified by their circles. But now, a movie on Kanhaiya Lal has suddenly made those same circles sensitive and deeply concerned about secularism.

UltraTech, the main cement company of the Aditya Birla Group, is under serious investigation by India’s Competition Commission. Along with Dalmia Bharat and Shree Digvijay Cement, UltraTech is accused of running one of the most blatant cement cartels in recent memory. The companies are said to have rigged ONGC cement tenders from 2013 to 2018 by fixing bids and using a middleman named Umakant Agarwal to block fair competition.

This is a serious issue. UltraTech alone controls over 20% of the country’s cement production. If a company that big uses its power to fix prices, it harms the entire construction and public works sector.

India’s cement market is worth over Rs 5 lakh crore. Just a 5% price hike due to cartel activity could cost the country Rs 25,000 crore, money that should be spent on roads, homes, and infrastructure. This is not just about money, it is about cheating taxpayers and slowing down the nation’s growth.

The Competition Commission has ordered all 3 companies to submit several years' worth of audited financial documents, including profit and loss statements and executive tax records, within 8 weeks. If they fail to do so, they could face legal consequences under Section 45 of the Competition Act.

What is more troubling is the bigger picture. In 2024, UltraTech took over India Cements. Now, people are asking whether it is continuing the same unethical practices or spreading them further under a new name.

This is not business leadership, it is misuse of market power. If these companies did fix prices on public contracts, they have directly harmed India’s infrastructure plans, delaying roads, hurting affordable housing, and slowing down key PSU projects.

If found guilty, UltraTech, Dalmia Bharat, Shree Digvijay, and those involved should face strict punishment. No company should be allowed to put profit over the nation’s development.

Pakistan banned Indian songs from FM radio stations just days after the Pahalgam attack and before Operation Sindoor. The ban has not been lifted yet, and we hardly care.

But, what was the urgency for the Govt of India to lift the ban on those Pakistani social media accounts that were spreading propaganda against India?

Why is the Govt acting in such haste, especially when the Pahalgam attack terrorists have neither been arrested nor neutralized? And, what is the guarantee that these Pakistani accounts won't resume their anti India propaganda?

The ceasefire should not have been declared so soon. India honored it, and Pakistan violated it with drone incursions.

Lifting the ban on Pakistani social media accounts so early is disappointing. At this rate, it would not be surprising if the Govt lifts the suspension on the Indus Water Treaty next.

When Air India flight crashed in Ahmedabad, a man Raju Patel rushed to the site and helped injured passengers using sarees & bedsheets.
