Tax Audit due date should be PERMANENTLY extended to 31st October.
There is no revenue loss to the Government, as taxes are already paid through Advance Tax/Self-Assessment Tax.
It’s time to end the yearly cycle of extensions and provide a clear, practical deadline.

⚖️ REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF TAX AUDIT DUE DATE
The due date for Tax Audit for AY 2026-27 (FY 2025-26) is 30th September 2026.
📌 Extensions have been granted by CBDT in previous years as well, considering the practical difficulties faced by Tax Auditors and taxpayers.
Tax Audit requires proper verification, reconciliation, documentation and professional review. Quality audit cannot be completed effectively under unreasonable time pressure.
🙏 We respectfully request CBDT to extend the Tax Audit due date from 30th September to 31st October 2026.
Give adequate time. Ensure quality audit.

🔸 Promoters face higher tax to curb arbitrage → ~22% for corporate, 30% for non-corporate promoters.
One profession.
Three critical deadlines.
Zero breathing space.

Classic move by @IncomeTaxIndia 👏 Today is the LAST DATE for filing ITR, and guess what? The portal has gone into ‘scheduled maintenance’ mode. Perfect timing!
If taxpayers can’t access the portal, then kindly extend the due date immediately.
