half price book find today! I’ve now got this one, women who dared, boys who dare to be different, and we rise we raise our voice. Everyday I read a page to my kids after ssr from one of them. Kids need to hear positive stories about real people making a difference!

A former student brought in a friend:“Mrs. Hubbard, I brought him to you because he wants to love to read, but doesn’t know how to find good books. I told him don’t worry. You’ve got him covered.” Kids need reading leaders that aren’t their teachers too!

Having the conversation w my kids tomorrow: real readers get in ruts and that is ok! I’m in one&reaching out to friends for ideas is a tool I use. Kids need to know “good” readers struggle to read too.
