Outside of the design addressing the weird and inconsistent SeHa and Planeptune lineage plot hole because of Segami's existence, I wonder if this design could have contributed to an interesting dynamic that wasn't pushed aside for a mean spirited tone.
Segami & Neptune.
Granted, this is partly due to the many bad localization changes made to Segami in English, as well as Neptune already becoming more jerkish and comedy focused after Victory.
Not really important; however, if you're curious about what Dreamcast's enemy Zetsumu's “human” form (before he lost it) looked like in actual artwork rather than sprites from the prequel game Dengeki Bunko: Cross of Venus, here you go. Finding this took forever.
Unfortunately, 404 GAME RE:SET was extremely short-lived, as the game shut down on January 4, 2024, due to the company’s poor performance and unmet expectations. The game launched on April 25, 2023, but only lasted about nine months before shutting down.
Sometimes, when I think about the Sega Hard Girls series, I remember their short lived “official” spiritual successor series, 404 Game Reset, which asks the question, “What if Sega never left the game industry but instead became an evil monopoly?”
The Sega Cast Resistance is similar to the Sega Arcade Girls, a Sega Hard Girls subdivision focused on Sega’s arcade history. The difference is that Arcade Girls represent the hardware, while Cast Resistance focuses on the games.
If you're wondering when this crossover took place, it happened in the original release of Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax. However, it is no longer accessible, as the SeHa Girls content was removed in later updates.
Fun Fact: Outside of the Time Eater from the Hyperdimension Neptunia crossover, Zetsumu is the only major villain in the SeHa Girls series, serving as the personification of despair.
In contrast, Dreamcast returns to her mythological roots as the Goddess of Hope & Dreams.
His true appearance resembles a computer virus, but thanks to his abilities to absorb others and shapeshift, he was able to take on a stolen humanoid form in a previous game that is unrelated to the SeHa Girls series.
It's Sega's 66th anniversary, so happy birthday to the Sega Twins: Sugawara Yuo ("Segamori") and Hatsumi Sega ("Segami")!
At 66 years old, they still look great for their age!

@misfitjax If so, imagine how Pomni would feel if she didn’t just fail Jax, but could have easily prevented it. You don’t think that wouldn’t consume her with so much guilt?
@misfitjax Legitimately speaking, Jax’s abstraction would’ve been the last straw before she broke. She even says it herself to Jax, asking what would happen if she abstracted tomorrow and how he would react. The point of the scene is how much Jax and Pomni mean to each other.
