Still horrified and heartbroken over not only this tragedy, but the utterly ghoulish coverage surrounding the people in his life who deserve to be given the privacy to grieve. This beautiful statement feels like a beacon of light cutting through all of that noise. RIP Rob 💔

[Variety @Variety]

Billy Crystal, Larry David, Albert Brooks and more of Rob Reiner's closest friends have issued a joint statement after his death:

"Rob Reiner not only was a great comic actor, he became a master storyteller. There is no other director who has his range... he was always at the top of his game. He charmed audiences. They trusted him. They lined up to see his films. His comedic touch was beyond compare, his love of getting the music of the dialogue just right, and his sharpening of the edge of a drama was simply elegant. For the actors, he loved them. For the writers, he made them better. His greatest gift was freedom. If you had an idea, he listened, he brought you into the process. They always felt they were working as a team. To be in his hands as a filmmaker was a privilege... There is a line from one of Rob’s favorite films, ‘It’s a Wonderful Life,’ ‘Each man’s life touches so many other lives, and when he isn’t around, he leaves an awful hole, doesn’t he?’ You have no idea."

@Sgtzima Sometimes I'll remember that I once watched a film where Robert DeNiro played Frankenstein's monster and I have to stop what I'm doing and ask myself if that really happened

If I had to show someone one scene in order to convey what film means to me, it would be this one. These few minutes would not be what they are without her other worldly voice. Rest In Peace 💔

Lowe lending his voice to Space Ghost remains one of the funniest comedic performances of all time. If it's been a while for you, please go back and rewatch it if you can. It still holds up incredibly well. Rest in Peace, George. Undeniable talent and gone way too soon 💔

George Lowe, the iconic voice actor best-known for Space Ghost Coast to Coast, has died at the age of 67.

The Anora discourse on here makes me think of how when Scorsese would get accused of glorifying organized crime, he would always say he felt like none of these people ever watched the end of his movies lol

As a film lover, there is my life before I saw Eraserhead and after. That's it. My absolute favorite director. A true artist whose work had a deep effect on me that I can hardly put into words. Rest well, David Lynch, with beautiful blue skies all along the way 💙

Director-writer David Lynch, who radicalized American film with with a dark, surrealistic artistic vision in films like “Blue Velvet” and “Mulholland Drive” and network television with “Twin Peaks,” has died. He was 78. https://t.co/T2GOao28ux

Had an almost identical experience, plus I was next to a group of 20 somethings that talked the entire time and then loudly trashed the movie the second it ended. One girl wouldn't stop complaining about charaters having "unconsentual sex with the camera" Just utter brain rot.

[JessFlix @RainbowRose89]

Willem Dafoe- explains everything in the film more thoroughly and beautifully than you even need him to.
Guy next to me who was talking the entire time as soon at the credits roll -*literally yelling "WHAT THE FUCK IM SO LOST!"
