🧵 The New Seeker Sensitive Movement
When I planted @tjclive in 2005/2006, the seeker-sensitive movement was still in its peak.
Most of these churches professed conservative doctrinal beliefs, but they were marked by an unwillingness to ever profess it. 1/9
We need Christians on social media. The people are here, and the lies they’re hearing are many. Welcome to the town square where real people come morning, noon, and night. We need the gospel proclaimed here. We need to be salt and light here. We need believers to be online here.

“Latest from me: the Biblical case for rioting, arson, and murder in the name of racial justice.
In other news, I covet your prayers as I prepare for my 35th podcast episode about why January 6th was the worst day in world history.”
I can’t believe we’ve reached a point in evangelicalism when some of us have become so desensitized by abortion and so manipulated by critical race theorists that some of us would unashamedly celebrate the confirmation of an unjust Supreme Court Justice because she’s black.

I can't help but notice the# of Christian women w platforms that don't touch the issues that would put them out of step w the world (e.g. gender). Some just join the world, but there are lots who turn their writing into uber personal sharing that's disconnected from any "issues."
Major church leaders used their positions to become mouthpieces for government’s Covid propaganda and helped NIH director Francis Collins suppress news about the lab-leak theory that would have been damaging to him.

Gathered worship reminds us that we are not alone, that we have a family, that our family consists of peoples from all tribes, tongues, and nations, and that one day we'll all be together loving each other and worshiping our Savior.
Dear Pastor
Before you is the flock of the Lord
Some were wounded by wolves
Some were gaslighted by false teachers
Some are confused by secular ideologies
Some want to deconstruct their faith
Some travelled a long distance to attend a Biblically sound church
