@TWakils@Effenormaal1@IslamicIns70668 The Son submits to The Father, Jesus in his humanity suffered a horrible death. Jesus laid down his life. He did not get overpowered. This is very basic Christianity. My DMs are open if you have more questions.
@TWakils@Effenormaal1@IslamicIns70668 Death is not "ceasing to exist" Death is simply a separation of soul from body. God found a way to experience that. If God is the most powerful, what stops him from participating in his creation? He isn't becoming less in essence at all.
@TWakils@KhalilAndani@unplugfitX Why can't you grant us Christians this same charity?
"It doesn't matter because God is still one." We are saying the same thing.
@TWakils@Effenormaal1@IslamicIns70668 God is all knowing all powerful.
https://t.co/vu4FyvBXfD man has authority over life, death and forgiveness of sins. So Christ is only like his creation in his humanity.
https://t.co/aqo45guGsM, it would be more like. "Can God create a rock he chooses not to lift?"
@TWakils@Effenormaal1@IslamicIns70668 No, we would say a man who was also God made a deliberate choice to lay aside his divine privileges. The term is called Kenosis.
@TWakils@Effenormaal1@IslamicIns70668 He took on flesh, meaning he became a human person without forfeiting his divine nature. God wasn't "present" in Jesus mind but was God the Son. They are one and the same.
@TWakils@Effenormaal1@IslamicIns70668 Likewise. I don't think God can do something "he cannot do." It's logically self defeating. If God wants to beget I wouldn't find that paradoxical. Remember he doesnt become human. One person takes on flesh. Its not a transformation but an indwelling.
@TWakils@Effenormaal1@IslamicIns70668 We cannot know God fully, We Christians simply don't use human physiology as a comparison to restrict what God can and cannot be or do. It is revealed that he took on flesh. If God is one, yet revealed himself to be multiple persons we accept it. May God forgive us if we error.
@TWakils@Effenormaal1@IslamicIns70668 Thank you for correcting me on Asharis. God having a hand in any sense violates Quran 42:11. Specifically the line about "There is nothing like unto Him"
@TWakils@Effenormaal1@IslamicIns70668 Allah has two hands in a way that we cannot fully comprehend. God is three persons in a way that we cannot fully comprehend. There is nothing like unto Him. You cannot critique a metaphysic principal if you use the same metaphysic principals yourself.
@TWakils@Effenormaal1@IslamicIns70668 Because the term "right" is dependent on physical space. If its metaphorical why do the Ash'ari believe otherwise? How can you assert God having distinct minds means he is distinct entities without violating Surah 42:11?
@TWakils@Effenormaal1@IslamicIns70668 you are making the same mistake as Daniel in the debate. Its a logical error. You are focusing on the mind part. If Jesus having a distinct mind makes him a distinct God then it follows that if Allah has two right hands it makes him a physical being. You have to be consistent.
