@jammyjam25 My kids have played on multiple teams and while it hasn't been quite the OPs experience, it mostly has. @biancasmalley is right that parents aren't just seen as ride. They're asked to provide snacks, coordinate hotels, etc. Parents are required to be very involved in most cases.
