It’s been a minute, so let us reintroduce ourselves.
Raising Resilience has been growing, rebranding, and expanding our care for moms, families, and providers.
New look. More support. Same mission: creating a safe haven for Black maternal mental health.

Dear Black women,
Reject the narrative that you always have to do MORE. What you’ve given this week is more than enough. The love, patience, and care you’ve shown? That’s enough. The time and energy you’ve poured into your family? Enough. And most importantly, YOU are enough—just as you are.
Justice & Joy didn’t end on April 17—it lives in our daily work at Raising Resilience.
Justice = autonomy over your body.
Joy = movement as connection, not punishment.
Movement is justice. Autonomy is joy.

Your body isn’t something to fix. 🤎
This is a space to slow down, be supported, and simply be—no pressure, no expectations. Move if it feels good, rest if it doesn’t.
Come soften, connect, and be held in community.

To the women holding families, communities, & themselves together
So much of what women carry is unseen the emotional labor, the quiet strength, the constant care for others.
Today we celebrate women. Happy International Women's Day!!
#InternationalWomensDay
Pregnancy after loss can be filled with worry, catastrophic thinking, and an inability to experience joy due to overwhelming fear. Grief and joy can co-exist. During anxious times, ask, “in this moment, what do I know to be true?” In the midst of sadness, may hope find you today

Parenting while struggling with your mental health is hard, but it doesn’t mean you’re failing. It takes incredible strength to keep showing up for your kids, especially on the days when you’re not feeling your best.
Sometimes, all it takes to brighten your day is a few uplifting words of encouragement.
What are some supportive phrases that make you feel seen? Share them below! 👇🏾
Here’s a reminder: self-sabotage can also look like not asking for help, striving for perfection, neglecting your own needs, and ignoring your feelings. It’s that inner voice convincing you that you should handle everything alone or that asking for support makes you weak. But motherhood is even tougher when you do it alone; it’s perfectly okay to lean on others.
Therapy needs to be considered
just as important as diapers & milk when it comes to child birth
Far too often Mother’s & families just try to wing it
& either end up enduring the life long lasting effects
Or fracturing all together
Post Partum has destroyed
just as many families as infidelity
& often we aren’t even conscious that’s what’s happening
1 In every 7 mothers are reported to experience it
But I think that number is much higher
Each time a Woman gives Birth
Therapy MUST be mandatory for her
(& the father if he’s around)
Consistently for AT LEAST the first 3 years
(Including the 9 months of term &
the first 2 years of the child’s life)
