HCM @SangmaConrad attended the SPARK Summit in Tura, where he highlighted the program’s focus on building communication, resilience, and life skills in students across Meghalaya.
School Programmes for Articulation, Resilience and Kindness (SPARK), an initiative of the Department of Education, Government of Meghalaya, under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, is empowering students with essential life skills. The SPARK programme, initiated in 2024, nurtures self-belief, communication skills, emotional well-being and critical thinking through STEM-based activities, positively impacting over 5,143 students, including 73% girls, with 86% demonstrating enhanced confidence.
On 28th March 2025, the first SPARK Summit was held in Tura, Meghalaya, in commemoration of the successful completion of the programme's pilot year of training interventions.
This initiative resonates with the vision of #NEP2020 in promoting holistic development and equipping students with skills beyond academics.
