சென்னை மாநகராட்சி மேற்கொண்டு வரும் நீர்நிலைகள் மீட்பு நடவடிக்கையின் ஒரு பகுதியாக மணலி மண்டலத்திற்குட்பட்ட அரியலூர்-கோசப்பூர் தொழிற்பூங்கா பகுதியில் 33 ஏக்கர் அளவில் நீர்நிலையை சீரமைத்து பயன்பாட்டிற்கு கொண்டு வருவதற்கான பணிகள் கடந்த டிசம்பரில் தொடங்கப்பட்டு 65 % பணிகள் நிறைவுற்றுள்ளது.
இதரப் பணிகள் தொடர்ந்து மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டு விரைவில் முடித்திட நடவடிக்கைகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Chennai gets ready for an high octane F4 street racing event to be held around Island Grounds in the night. The Greater Chennai Corporation round the clock has been working to create a 3.5 kilometre race track in Flagstaff road, Anna Salai, Sivananda Salai and Napier Bridge. Wolf racing cars and F4 cars that can go upto 220-240 kmph will be used in the racing tracks and more than a dozen racers including intentional ones will take part in event on December 9 & 10. The GCC has been removing pavements, centre medians and street lights to construct the closed corridor racing track with concrete walls on both sides. Viewing galleries with total capacity of 10,000 people to be set up at 11 locations including at sharp corners. Ticket costs start at Rs 1000 and goes upto Rs 30,000. #ChennaiRacing #ChennaiStreetRacing
