Raise your voice for Goa, face a case outside Goa?

The manner in which the Karapur-Sarvan protestors were taken into custody raises extremely serious questions about the conduct of law enforcement authorities and, once again, about the failure of the Goa

Police to protect the rights of Goans.
It has been alleged that some Karapur Sarvan protestors were forcibly taken by Mumbai Police and subsequently shown as arrested at Dodamarg in Maharashtra. If this was done to circumvent the legal safeguards associated with a transit arrest, the circumstances demand an immediate and transparent investigation.

We also demand answers from Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Minister Vishwajit Rane. Were the Goa Government and Goa Police aware of this operation?
If yes, who authorised or facilitated it?
The Karapur-Sarvan agitation is nearing 150 days. Instead of listening to citizens fighting for their land and addressing their concerns, are attempts being made to intimidate protestors and prevent people from coming out in solidarity with them?

The extortion allegations must be tested fairly before the law. But allegations cannot be used as a shortcut to brand protestors guilty or suppress democratic dissent.
We strongly condemn any high handed or unlawful action by law enforcement authorities carried out to serve the interests of powerful builders.

Standing up for Goa is not a crime. Peaceful protest is a democratic right.
Goa will speak.
Goa will question.
Goa will not be silenced.

Notification is only the first step. ST political reservation will become a reality only when the reserved constituencies are notified and the entire process is completed in time for the 2027 Goa Assembly Elections.

The BJP Government must stop political stunts and ensure there are no procedural excuses or deliberate delays. The long struggle of UTTA and ST organisations, strongly supported by the Congress Party, must result in actual political representation, not merely a notification on paper.

Complete the process. Notify the constituencies. Ensure ST reservation in 2027.
