@InsightRadarX Reputed personalities in public life may not attract votes on their own. Those who have an independent following with sizable vote banks can only make a difference. Politics is not just a popularity game. Vote bank volumes matters.
@bainjal Inheriting legacy is easy but maintaining the same credibility is difficult. Uddhav lacks stature, strategy and sagacity to run a big political party.
@IndiaToday@maryashakil Managing such heterogeneous groups and placating them with rewards will not be a cakewalk for BJP. It is easy to encourage defections but difficult to keep them happy. Without tactical management, Aaya Rams will be converted into Gaya Rams.
@Vasudha156 Signatures alone do not constitute unity. The common contentious issues have always remained. But these alone are not adequate. Now it is race for seats. " For a few seats more ", defections and Alliance switchover have become commonplace.
Tejasvi Surya takes up right issues with vehemence and a data-backed approach. He does not indulge in vociferous and loose criticism without a solid base. Unfortunately, he appears to be alone in BJP and other leaders do not join him to strengthen the case. BJP's problem is fragmented approach, lack of unity and diverse agenda.
@sekartweets There is space only for two major parties in any state. The third party, if it exists, has to decimate slowly. AIADMK lacks charismatic leadership and unable to form effective narratives to garner public interest.
@rameshlaus Vaiko is capable of choosing opponents and making vociferous tirades against them. But he is unsuccessful in choosing friends or Allies. This is because he has lost his relevance and strength long back. He has no option but to piggyback on major parties for survival.
@dr_harish_s BJP should try to merge JD(S) with it. This will benefit both the parties in the long run and the merger could prove to be a force multiplier.
@alpasankhyata An important characteristic of DKS is that he is fully development-focused. He doesn't view matters from electoral perspective. Congress does not realize his value and potential. They want to use him only for resort politics.
Neither joining TVK Alliance nor existing in DMK Alliance is going to benefit his fringe party. It has neither any credibility nor capable of independent existence. He himself is a non-entity after he made the fatal mistake of leaving DMK, due to Stalin's elevation long back. He has to continue to piggyback on major parties to find a place in the inner pages of newspapers. His marginalisation and irrelevance are well-known.
@ShashiTharoor Well said. The Govt's injudicious statement on Passport has not only baffled the common citizens but stirred a hornet's nest of reactions. It has also provided fodder to the directionless opposition for commencing endless tirades even after lengthy explanations.
Fresh life and energy are not adequate to boost the prospects of BJP in Karnataka. Concerted actions and well-coordinated strategies are essential. Laid back attitudes should be replaced by dynamic outreach. A charismatic leadership with strong narratives and comprehensive people-connect is the imminent need.
@Vasudha156 Tharoor is a high-calibre intellectual with keen insights into several aspects. But Congress does not need erudite individuals. They require only those who are capable of launching perpetual onslaughts against the Govt. without rationale or reason.
@TimesNow@saravofcl Vijay is admirably pursuing the middle path, shunning both appeasement agenda and religious bigotry. He deserves kudos for the neutral stance.
@dpkBopanna KBG is on right track. He should go deeper into the malaise instead of stopping with the symptoms. He should fix timelines for job completion and be ruthless against intentional delays, apathetic execution and wrongdoings.
@_pallavighosh@ShashiTharoor Tharoor is trying to be objective instead of indulging in blind criticism of the ruling party. Congress cannot digest fairness and believes that vociferous criticism gets more votes. It is unfortunate that wisdom has not dawned even after 12 years in cold storage !!!
In any case, dynastic succession has a shelf life. It is bound to face its nemesis at some point of time. Leaders cannot be thrust on the people just because they are the progeny of the patriarch. Blind followers can accept heirs as successors initially but performance and credibilty will decide their longevity.
