I remember when the BJP claimed that they’d given you footage of money exchanging hands during the 2008 confidence vote. You refused to air it. Yet every tweet of yours reeks of an undeserved air of moral superiority- much like Pakistani diplomacy.
Comparisons are futile but for me one of India's greatest engineering achievements remains the 217 feet tall shadowless Brihadisvara Temple built by Raja Raja Chola I in 1010.
Crafted with giant interlocked stones and crowned by an 81 ton kumbam, it was built within six years.
Power is temporary, but dignity is permanent.
For months, I was subjected to a relentless campaign of intimidation by Krishnanagar MP Mahua Moitra, all because I dared to exercise my democratic right to free speech by retweeting a single post critical of her.
Instead of ignoring criticism like a mature leader, she unleashed the entire state machinery to break my spirit.
🟧The Cost of Intimidation:
🔸Psychological Warfare:
Every alternate day, 12 to 13 policemen from the Krishnanagar Police Station were dispatched to my residence. They didn’t just deliver notices; they created a spectacle. They stood in my locality for hours, smoking cigarettes, drinking tea, and telling my neighbours they were there to arrest me, solely to humiliate and intimidate my family.
🔸Massive Waste of Public Resources:
To hand over a simple piece of paper, 3 to 4 police vehicles from Kotwali PS travelled over 130 km. A task that a single local officer or an email could have accomplished was turned into a taxpayer-funded show of force.
🔸Escalation Tactics:
When I refused to bow down, the pressure intensified with additional notices from Kolkata Police stations, all aimed at silencing my voice against the TMC.
🟧Standing Tall with the Judiciary :
I chose to fight back in the courts rather than surrender to fear. The Hon’ble Calcutta High Court saw through this blatant abuse of power, granting me anticipatory bail and severely reprimanding the excessive actions taken against a private citizen.
Even after legal setbacks, the harassment didn't stop; it merely shifted from official uniforms to party goons targeting my cars and properties. But intimidation cannot break conviction.
🟧The Ultimate Verdict :
On May 4th, the ultimate relief arrived. The people of West Bengal delivered their verdict, ending what many experienced as a rule of tyranny.
Today, while the former MP has predictably flown to London to enjoy holidays and post irrelevant videos, the ordinary citizen she tried to crush stands tall. This wasn't just my victory, it was a victory for every common citizen against the arrogance of political power.
A boy shared an incident from Kalyan railway station in Maharashtra that has sparked debate online.
He had gone to the station to help his family board a train scheduled to leave at 12 PM. Later, the train was delayed and he was informed it would arrive at 2 PM.
After buying a platform ticket, he waited at the station with his family. However, the train kept getting delayed for several more hours. Finally, around 5 PM, he helped his family get on the train and was about to leave.
That's when a TTI stopped him and asked for his platform ticket. After checking it, the TTI said the ticket was valid for only 2 hours and imposed a fine of ₹500.
The boy questioned why he was being penalized when the delay was caused by the railway itself. He argued that he had purchased a valid platform ticket to see off his family and stayed only because the train was repeatedly delayed.
The incident has raised an important question:
If passengers are forced to wait because of a train delay, should they be fined for exceeding the time limit of a platform ticket?
@SupriyaShrinate No wonder why your party looses election after election. Commoners are fed up with these antics. What purpose does this picture serve to public. Irrelevant to the core.
Dr @swapan55 inherits a Bengal wrecked by financial ruin (₹8 lac crore debt), anti-corporate policies (7,000 companies have taken flight), and insane mismanagement (₹5,800 crore for Minority Affairs versus ₹80 crore for Science & Tech).
But if anyone can, he can. Best wishes.
Of the 20 Lok Sabha MPs reportedly defecting from TMC, the most tragically funny case would be Yusuf Pathan.
Just a few days ago, rumours were doing the rounds that Yusuf Pathan had refused to vacate his seat for Mamata Banerjee. Yusuf promptly came online and dismissed it as fake news.
Mamata Banerjee must have been relieved. After all, Yusuf's clarification suggested that he remained loyal and would probably step aside if she ever actually wanted the seat.
The irony now is that Yusuf is not merely refusing to vacate the seat that TMC gave him, worse, he is taking that very seat into the BJP camp and using it to strengthen the NDA.
No wonder, out of those twenty, Mahua Moitra specifically named and targeted Yusuf Pathan, calling him shameless. Lol!
Rahul Gandhi in April:
- Mamata protected RG Kar rape accused.
- Mamata did Corruption.
- Mamata didn't work for Bengal
- Mamata is opening way for BJP.
Rahul Gandhi in June:
"Come merge with us. We will make you National Vice President."🤡
