NIA CONDUCTS PAN-INDIA SEARCHES IN ONLINE TERROR RADICALISATION CASE PROMOTING ISIS & AQIS JIHADI IDEOLOGY

New Delhi, 8th July 2026
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday conducted nation-wide searches in a case of online terror radicalisation aimed at establishing an Islamic state in India through violent jihad against the democratically elected government by promoting the ideology of ISIS and AQIS terrorist organisations.

A total of 20 locations was searched in a coordinated action by NIA teams in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Rajasthan, Gujarat and the UT of Delhi ,as part of the ongoing investigation in the case RC-01/2026/NIA/VSKP.

Today’s searches led to the seizure of several digital devices, which will be forensically examined for further clues into the radicalisation conspiracy. Eleven accused and one juvenile have so far been arrested in the case, which NIA had taken over from Vijaywada police in May this year.

The Vijaywada (Andhra Pradesh) police had originally registered the case in March following a search at the residence of key accused Rehmatullah Sharif Mohammad that resulted in the recovery of incriminating materials related to the banned terrorist organisations AQIS (Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent) and ISIS (Islamic State).

The locations searched today were chosen on the basis of detailed technical analysis of the digital devices seized earlier, along with connectivity analysis of the arrested accused and other investigation findings.

NIA, which is working to identify others involved in the plot to destabilise the country and establish ‘Caliphate’, has found that the arrested accused and their aides were engaged in indoctrination of vulnerable youth across the country through violent jihadi content and misinformation. The accused were also in online contact with their foreign handlers to propagate the jihadi ideology and promote the anti-India conspiracy.

Israeli Defence Force Eliminates Head of Nukhba Cell That Raided Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak in the October 7 Massacre

The IDF struck yesterday in southern Gaza Strip and eliminated the terrorist Muhammad Imad al-Rahman Abu Ta'ima, head of a Nukhba cell in the military wing of the terror organization Hamas. During the October 7 massacre, Ta'ima raided Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak.

Throughout the war, Ta'ima commanded a Nukhba cell in ambushes against our forces. In recent times, alongside promoting additional terror plots, he was engaged in maintaining the terrorists' readiness and attempting to recruit new terrorists to the organization.

The terrorist posed an immediate threat to our forces operating in the area and was eliminated in a precise aerial strike.

IDF forces under Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat

The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Satinderjeet Singh, alias Goldy Brar, wanted for his alleged role in the Lawrence Bishnoi Organised Crime Group.

A federal warrant was issued on July 1 in California, charging him with racketeering conspiracy, extortion, and drug distribution conspiracy. The FBI says he has ties to the U.S., Canada, India and Mexico.

The reward comes as charges against Bishnoi and Brar, among 37 defendants in "Operation Hard Ball," for allegedly orchestrating Hardeep Singh Nijjar's 2023 killing in Canada.
