After the passing-out parade, a young officer, a helicopter pilot, proposed to his girlfriend or fiancée. The photo went viral with all sorts of reactions coming in. Some called it a breach of discipline, others called it a security issue, while some felt soldiers shouldn’t do such things... But in my view, if we expect a soldier’s patriotism to be so strong that he’s ready to sacrifice his life, then why question his personal love? If he expresses love on social media or otherwise, it doesn’t diminish discipline; it just shows a young spirit... I don't think there's any breach here. It was a heartfelt moment, not worth overreacting. We should accept it gracefully."

#JammuAndKashmir: The Indian Army and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are leading a coordinated rescue and evacuation operation at Gulmarg after a technical fault in the Gondola cable car system caused a sudden suspension of services between the Base Station and Phase-1 (Kongdori), leaving multiple tourists stranded amid adverse weather conditions.

As per the latest update received, a total of 65 cable cars were affected by the malfunction.

Rescue teams successfully evacuated 14 cable cars from the Phase-1 side, rescuing 76 tourists, while 12 cable cars were evacuated from the Base Station side, leading to the rescue of another 72 persons.

In total, 148 stranded tourists have been safely evacuated so far.

Large Scale Rescue Operations at Gulmarg Gandola by Trained Teams in Progress.

Swift and coordinated rescue efforts by #ChinarCorps, #IndianArmy and #Gulmarg Gandola operators are underway after ropeway cabins got stranded mid-air.

65 cabins were stranded and till now 80 passengers from 16 cabins have been safely rescued. Rescue operations for the remaining cabins are in progress. Stay tuned for further updates.

total 166 persons have been rescued from 29 Cabins.

Rescue operations by trained teams continue. All passengers are safe and situation is under control. No need to panic.
