After distributing $1,000 in groceries to families who lost loved ones to police & other violence, Rolanda @RaleighPACT said, "you don’t see me in the news. I feel like that’s not my place. My place is in the community, for my people".
Reject copaganda! We keep us safe & fed.
Gentrification cannot exist without policing, and vice versa. Please read and sign this letter from the @HousingWake folks. The mayor and councilors that have taken Kane money shouldn't vote to give Kane OUR money.
Please sign and share in support of the Wake County Housing Justice Coalition’s call for Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin and four other members of Raleigh City Council to recuse themselves from voting on Kane Realty’s massive “Downtown South’’ rezoning application

Of course, this does not meet our demand. 21CP is just cops investigating themselves with extra steps.
44% of the entire team are former police, but let's break it down: 75% of senior advisors are former police chiefs, 57% of partners are former police

The 21CP Solutions report was released earlier this week. Unsurprisingly, the firm recommended more brutality, including: increased surveillance via helicopter/CCTV/drones, mass arrest policy, liaisons, further criminalizing "un-permitted" protests, more cops & equipment.

We don't want the police to police us more effectively, as this report recommends. We don't want police in our protests or communities at all.
If the conclusions from this report are enacted, RPD would require more funding.
Stop the terror! Defund RPD! Abolition now!

We barely had the chance to respond to the RPD Chief's copaganda (after-action report) from the George Floyd uprisings before having to process the villainous State inaction for Breona Taylor's murder.
We don't stop until #BlackLivesMatter, at every level, every day.
Earlier today some of our members went to the Shine a Light Vigil to ask Chief Cassandra Deck-Brown questions, but she refused. So as students and members of the Raleigh community who are affected by your officers, we decided to ask you those questions here. @raleighpolice
We stand in solidarity with the message from @RefundRaleigh.
We encourage everyone to join @NCBORN_ and others in downtown Raleigh tonight (8/28) at 7pm at 316 Fayetteville St.
The DA just released a shameful report “justifying” Keith Collins’ death. And was Mayor Baldwin’s first instinct to console the family or the Raleigh community? Nope — she issued another curfew because she cares more about insured property than Black lives.https://t.co/tdcPmAe3Wm
Please use the link by 5PM TODAY to speak at next Tue's council mtng (8/18, 1pm). https://t.co/bjYGlTmdNY
Deck-Brown will request a Homelessness & Mental Health Unit in DIRECT CONFLICT w/ community requests to #RefundRaleigh and #DefundRPD. #ralpol
@Magnus919 You’d assume that is obvious but important to spell out! Just in case, PACT’s full oversight board proposal is here https://t.co/Q0oXBtfaXc (scroll to the bottom)
Raleigh City Council is asking us to submit questions to District D applicants by 4pm today for their Sunday virtual forum, PACT team, help make #RaleighDemandsJustice and #RefundRaleigh top of the agenda. 1/3
And pt 2: Will you work to divest resources from Raleigh Police Department in the 2021-2022 budget cycle toward community-led initiatives that improve outcomes for Black people? https://t.co/ln9f5DMffc 3/3
You get 250 characters on the form, so here's pt 1: How will you leverage your position to ensure that Raleigh has an oversight board with subpoena power to discipline police? https://t.co/ln9f5DMffc 2/3
👀 look out y’all. Our Stonewall heroes were Black, brown queer & trans people standing up for true community safety. They taught us the police don’t keep us safe. Thank you for letting us honor this history and our movement ancestors. #defundRPD#refundraleigh#stonewallwasariot
