At the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery this morning for the annual Memorial Day Ceremony and Flag in. Ceremony starts at 11 a.m. but get here a little early to find parking!
This change was made to reduce overtime charges related to program start up and to test the program during working hours according to DPW Commissioner BK Keramati.
Saratoga Springs City Council passed a resolution tonight making it so the seasonal paid parking program will begin the Friday BEFORE Memorial Day instead of ON Memorial Day.
This means paid parking will begin this Friday, May 22.

Saratoga County has issued an Emergency Order declaring a state of emergency. Travel restrictions have been put in place that prohibit all non-essential travel on all County, Town and Village roadways.
At tonight’s City Council meeting, Kathy Jackson, Exalted Ruler of the Saratoga-Wilton Elks Lodge #161, announced that due to logistical and resourcing challenges the annual Flag Day parade will be suspended moving forward.
The lodge has put on the parade for the past 56 years.

Indivisible ADK/Saratoga held “ICE Out for Good Vigils” in several towns through out the Capital Region to “demand accountability, honor the life lost and make visible the human cost of ICE’s actions,” following the fatal shooting of Renee Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis.
