Sub-Saharan African migrants are being captured and sold like commodities in open-air markets across Libya in 2026.
Human beings are auctioned off in garages, parking lots, and public squares for prices as low as $400.
This is not ancient history it is happening right now in the 21st century.
Most of the victims fled their home countries desperate to escape poverty, violence, and hardship, hoping for a better future across the Mediterranean.
Instead, they were intercepted by traffickers, armed militias, and smugglers in a country with no effective government or rule of law a direct result of the chaos that followed the 2011 NATO-backed overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi.
Only TWO remain from the 2023 Heatโs Finals squad ๐คฏ
๐ Jimmy Butler is on the Warriors.
๐ Tyler Herro has been traded for Giannis.
๐ Gabe Vincent is bouncing around.
๐ Max Strus is in Cleveland.
๐ Caleb Martin is gone.
๐ Kyle Lowry and Kevin Love moved on.
๐ Duncan Robinson is in Detroit.
๐ Udonis Haslem hung up the jersey for good.
The entire rotation is wiped out. Only Bam Adebayo and Nikola Jovic (who played garbage minutes in 2023) remain.
...but Pat Riley finally landed his ultimate whale ๐ณ
The Heat sent away Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kel'el Ware and a mountain of draft capital to bring Giannis Antetokounmpo to South Beach.
The ramifications are wild.
By pairing Giannis with Bam, Miami now has the most terrifying, versatile defensive frontcourt in the NBA.
Granted, Erik Spoelstra is still on the sidelines masterminding the strategy, ensuring the system functions.
But the personnel? Unrecognizable.
One minute you're pushing the Nuggets in the NBA Finals with a band of overlooked misfits.
Three years later, you're building a brand new empire around the Greek Freak.
New era officially begins in Miami ๐ฅ
A timely reminder from the ELC that justice should not be defeated by power outages, internet disruptions, or other technological failures beyond a litigant's control.
In Isaack Godana Boru v Samson Mburu alias Mzunguko (2026), the Court reinstated a land dispute that had been dismissed after counsel was disconnected from a virtual hearing due to a power outage. The Court found that the dismissal was an improper exercise of discretion and emphasized that disputes, particularly those involving land, ought to be determined on their merits rather than terminated on procedural technicalities.
As courts continue embracing virtual proceedings, this decision affirms an important principle: the right to be heard cannot be extinguished by circumstances outside a party's control.
A Black man created ranch dressing โ and most people never knew.
Kenneth โSteveโ Henson, born in Nebraska in 1918, was a plumber who cooked for his crew in Alaska. One day he mixed buttermilk, mayo, herbs, and spicesโฆ and ranch was born.
In 1954, he and his wife bought land near Santa Barbara and named it Hidden Valley Ranch. Guests loved the dressing so much they begged to take jars home. By 1957, stores were selling his dry mix. Orders exploded. Factories followed.
In 1972, Clorox bought the recipe and the name for eight million dollars. Ranch went nationwide. By 1992, it was Americaโs #1 dressing.
But the man behind it? Nearly erased.
Every salad, every wing, every fry dipped in ranch โ thatโs his legacy. He mattered. He was the blueprint.

Three years ago, Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood were among the five passengers aboard the Titan submersible during a deep-sea expedition to view the wreck of the Titanic in the North Atlantic Ocean. Operated by OceanGate, these journeys took visitors approximately 3,300 meters beneath the surface to explore the famous shipwreck, which was first discovered in 1985.
On June 18, 2023, the Titan began its descent and quickly covered several kilometers underwater. However, about one hour and forty-five minutes into the mission, communication with the support vessel was suddenly lost. Repeated attempts to re-establish contact failed, prompting a large-scale search operation involving naval and rescue teams.
Days later, debris was discovered near the Titanic wreck site. Investigations concluded that the submersible had suffered a catastrophic implosion deep within the ocean's bathypelagic zone, a region located thousands of meters below the surface where water pressure is immense. Parts of the vessel were recovered, but no human remains were found, and despite years passing since the tragedy, they have never been recovered.
Scientists explain that the ocean is made up of distinct layers, each darker and more isolated than the one above it. Beyond a few hundred meters, sunlight fades away almost completely, giving way to a darkness so profound that it is difficult to describe. In the deepest regions, visibility becomes nearly impossible, a phenomenon often referred to as "pitch darkness."
What many people find remarkable is that the Qur'an described scenes of deep-sea darkness centuries before modern oceanography existed. Allah says in Surah An-Nur (24:40):
"Or they are like layers of darkness in a deep sea, covered by waves, above which are waves, above which are cloudsโdarknesses, one upon another. When one stretches out his hand, he can hardly see it. And whoever Allah does not grant light, for him there is no light."
The verse speaks of a deep ocean, layers of waves, clouds overhead, and darkness upon darknessโimagery that continues to inspire reflection among believers. Long before humanity possessed submarines, sonar systems, or deep-sea technology, the Qur'an drew attention to realities hidden beneath the ocean's surface.
Whether one views this as a sign of divine revelation or as a matter for contemplation, the description remains one of the Qur'an's most striking references to the natural world, inviting people to reflect on the greatness of the Creator and the mysteries of His creation.

๐จ BREAKING:
ALERT: Iran may soon receive Pakistan's "Ababeel" ballistic missile, equipped with MIRV technology. It has a range of 2,200 kilometers and is capable of delivering multiple nuclear warheads to different targets simultaneously from a single launch.
For years, the narrative was simple:
The West is stronger.
The East can't competeโฆ
But the Finals have told a different story ๐
The East is 2-1 against the West over the last 3 NBA Finals. And if not for a devastating injury to Tyrese Haliburton, there's a real chance that record could be 3-0 ๐
Maybe it's time to stop asking whether the East can keep up.
Maybe it's time to admit the balance of power isn't as one-sided as everyone thought.
