#OnThisDay in 1983, the men's & women's 100m World Records fell within 15-minutes of each other at the National Sports Festival in Colorado Springs. First was Evelyn Ashford, fresh off anchoring the American record-setting 4x1, clocked 10.79 breaking the previous mark 10.81 (1/2)
