#STEPN’s fifth anniversary is coming to a close, and it’s time to assess its impact on the Poly realm as well.

At first, there was a real surge of enthusiasm : a return to the 2022 vibe. It was great, and it was worth it !

Then, let’s be honest: FSL chose to capitalize on the community’s work by offering Poly Realm shoes as prizes, even though it was precisely that collective effort that revived the value, this last hope for the ecosystem.

That’s their right, decisions regarding the game are entirely centralized, and we know that.

A few nice design proposals, servers that are still up and running so we can play: that’s already something.

Anyway, like many of you, I prefer to look at the numbers.

Over 75 days, Poly Realm has burned 3.56 million net pGST. The burn rate has slowed significantly: about 14,600 net pGST per day over the last two weeks, compared to 66,000 in August.

The burn-to-mint ratio has dropped from 1.30 to 1.06. On the other hand, the market seems to have stabilized over the past few days as new players join.

These are still good figures given the work done, and the pGST still remains deflationary. But this is obv a poor result given STEPN OG’s potential and our passion for this game.

Still, let’s take what there is to celebrate. 🌸

Capsules are fun and FSL finaly starts to work a bit with us by reading what we write, which is something too.

The direction we’re taking (boosting retention through the team marathon and the leaderboard) is the right one, on one condition : that a more substantial acquisition campaign follows.

Without new users, retention merely slows down the churn rate, as we well know.

So I’ll announce the final prizes no later than October 4 (the day the community contest ends) and compile the full ranking, which I’ll announce around mid-October.

After that, I’ll try out a series of more creative ideas for Poly Realm. 🫶🔥

If we all put in one last effort, perhaps we can make up for the lack of work on FSL’s part, which, ironically, remains STEPN’s main problem. 🤫

What's for sure is that I've rarely seen a community with so many talented people, and believe me, there's a way for us to get organized and do things right ৻( •̀ ᗜ •́ ৻)
