Manchester City will always be part of my heart.

I arrived at Maine Road in 1995 and lived through some very difficult days with this club. Relegation, uncertainty, seasons when nothing went our way. But one thing never changed: the supporters stood by City every single week.

Today there is a lot of noise around the club. I'm not here to talk about courtrooms. I'm here to say that this club, its people and its fans have been through storms before, and they always came back stronger.

Stay together. Stay proud. Blue forever. 💙

Yesterday around 6pm, I was at the mall when someone recognized me and said they knew me from X and TikTok. I was so excited because omg, I’m actually getting recognized now.

But at the same time, I looked so sad and tired, and that’s when I realized just how much this whole Manchester City 115 charges case has genuinely drained me.

I’ve cried. I’ve prayed. I’ve asked God to help my club through these trying times. And I think that’s when it really hit me just how much I love Manchester City.

Plastic fan or not, these 115 charges will touch your soul bro. 😭💔

Es ist schwer, Worte zu finden, die der Bedeutung dieser Auszeichnung gerecht werden.

Die Mevlüde-Genç-Medaille ist für mich kein gewöhnlicher Preis. Sie ist eine große Ehre - aber vor allem eine Verpflichtung.

Mevlüde Genç hat nach dem unvorstellbaren Leid des Anschlags von Solingen mit etwas geantwortet, das weit über das hinausgeht, was man erwarten konnte: mit Liebe, Menschlichkeit und Versöhnung. Ihre Haltung erinnert uns daran, dass Hass niemals die Antwort sein kann.

Für mich ist diese Auszeichnung auch persönlich besonders bedeutend. Meine Geschichte hat in Gelsenkirchen und Nordrhein-Westfalen begonnen. Hier habe ich erlebt, dass Menschen unterschiedlichster Herkunft ganz selbstverständlich Seite an Seite leben und arbeiten können.

Ich möchte diese Werte auch weitergeben: an die nächste Generation und an die vielen jungen Menschen, die ihren eigenen Weg gehen. Bildung, Empathie und die Bereitschaft, andere Perspektiven zu verstehen, sind dabei entscheidend.

Vielen Dank an das Land Nordrhein-Westfalen und Ministerpräsident Hendrik Wüst für diese besondere Ehrung. Ich nehme sie mit großer Dankbarkeit entgegen - und mit dem Bewusstsein, dass sie eine Verantwortung mit sich bringt.

Miteinander ist immer stärker als Spaltung! 🤍
