CSIR-IIIM, Jammu has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ambrosia Botanicals to promote research, quality standardization, value addition, and market development in aromatic crops, essential oils, and botanical wellness products.
The collaboration aims to strengthen India’s Aroma Mission by fostering innovation, scientific validation of botanical formulations, and creating stronger market linkages for farmers, entrepreneurs, and industry stakeholders.
The MoU was formally signed by Dr Zabeer Ahmed, Director, CSIR-IIIM, and Ms Pratiba S. Kedia, Founder and Chief Formulator, M/s Ambrosia Botanicals, marking a key step towards translating scientific research into sustainable, market-driven solutions in the aromatic and wellness sector.

A PhD scholar in the Infectious Diseases Division at CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu. Sapna has earned this highly competitive international fellowship for her outstanding research on identifying novel chemical scaffolds to combat drug-resistant tuberculosis under the supervision of Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Senior Scientist, CSIR-IIIM Jammu.
As part of fellowship, she will conduct preclinical evaluation of promising anti-tubercular lead compounds at Johns Hopkins Univerisity, Maryland, US.
This achievement reflects the excellence of scientific research being carried out at CSIR-IIIM and contributes to the global fight against one of the world's most pressing public health challenges.

Lavender Festival 2026 Concludes with a Vision for Global Growth
The two-day Lavender Festival 2026 at Bhaderwah concluded successfully, bringing together farmers, scientists, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and policymakers to celebrate the achievements of the CSIR Aroma Mission and chart the future of India's Purple Revolution.
