My "Roman Empire is the realization that my life is a lottery win. Somewhere in Sudan, Pålestine, iran, Afghanistan, Iraq or Congo, there is a boy smarter than me. He is more disciplined, more resilient, and holds more potential in his single finger than I do in my entire career.
The only difference? I am siting in a train and he is sting in the rubble of his dreams.
My "bad days" are his wildest dreams.
My "burnout" is a luxury he can't afford because his only job is staying alive.
It's geographical luck and it's a haunting injustice that we all refuse to acknowledge and look away
🚨 SAM ALTMAN: “People talk about how much energy it takes to train an AI model … But it also takes a lot of energy to train a human. It takes like 20 years of life and all of the food you eat during that time before you get smart.”
Ethiopia is hosting a secret camp to train thousands of fighters for the Rapid Support Forces paramilitary group in neighboring Sudan, Reuters reporting has found, in the latest sign that one of the world’s deadliest conflicts is sucking in regional powers from Africa and the Middle East https://t.co/hItjNTa2da

Sudanese journalist Muammar Ibrahim has been detained by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) as they advanced in el-Fasher, raising concerns about his safety and prompting calls for his release https://t.co/yM8hbFq0CH
For months, experts and human rights advocates have sounded the alarm over the looming threat of genocidal violence against civilians in El Fasher should the city fall into militia hands. They warned about the construction of berms encircling the city to form a “kill box” for targeting civilians, which has sadly ended up being true.
Yet the response from Western governments was nothing more than hollow statements and performative concern.
Sudan 🇸🇩: RSF militants are chasing people who fled from El Fasher through the Wana hills northwest of the city.
Many of the civilians from El Fasher haven't eaten for days. They're literally running for their lives, through the desert, using the last bit of strength they have.
