Built this app back in 2019… then COVID happened. At the time, there were a lot of challenges:
- Balancing proximity discovery vs search
- Different sensor accuracy across devices (old phones vs newer ones)
- Heavy reliance on GPS
Today, this kind of experience is much easier to build thanks to AI and visual positioning.

@RitikShilp80441 That’s the kind of debt I mean until senior developers’ roles fully shift toward technical auditors, security checks, and performance audits.
Today, almost anyone can vibe code, but what really sets developers apart isn’t just building fast — it’s building smart.
Good developers will ship solid products.
Great developers will ship outcomes with fewer tokens, less tech debt, and less chaos.
Less refactoring. Less noise. More clarity.
That’s where the real craft is going.
As building tools become easier for everyone, we might see another short-term wave of #monolithic apps in the scene again.
When architecture, system design, and software engieering are overlooked, software can still work — but that doesn’t mean it’s built to grow.
Is the monolith making a comeback?
Let’s see. Either way… interesting times ahead 🚀

Anthropic just released! If you showed this chart to an economist like 20 years ago, they would've laughed you out of the room.
For decades, the "safe" career advice was to get a high-level degree to move away from manual labor and into "knowledge work" to avoid being replaced by a machine. This chart reveals a total inversion of that logic. The most "future-proof" jobs on this map are now on the left side (Construction, Grounds Maintenance, and Food & Serving) where the theoretical AI coverage is almost non-existent.
We are entering a reality where the more "prestigious" and expensive your education was, the more exposed your career might be to automation.
Just wrapped up IBM’s Building AI Agents and Agentic Workflows specialization. A helpful deep dive into modern AI system design.

Google Maps vs Apple Maps was the last time I remember Apple clearly losing a tech battle.
Apple dominates on-device AI/ML, yet when it comes to LLMs and Agentic AI systems, it is miles behind OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.
Where is Apple in this AI race?! It’s surprising not to see Apple at the forefront of this shift.
A website shows real-time pizza traffic around the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. 🍕📊
When orders spike, it often signals long demanding days or nights in the area nearby. A clever example of how simple data analysis turns everyday behavior into insights. #dataanalysis
Better late than never. A great step forward in #Lebanon’s digital transformation: Google Transit is now live on Google Maps, moving public transportation toward a modern digital system.

Gemini app downloads are quickly closing in on ChatGPT
So about those who said Google was “way behind” in gen-AI:
The Financial Times reports that new downloads of Gemini—not cumulative totals—are approaching ChatGPT’s pace, and its users are spending more time in-app. #AINews
Even the strongest networks face unforeseen failures. #Cloudflare’s swift, transparent response reinforces why it remains the industry’s benchmark for resilience and reliability.
We let the Internet down today. Here’s our technical post mortem on what happened. On behalf of the entire @Cloudflare team, I’m sorry. https://t.co/uTi23Vcx0g
Reputation isn’t just built—it’s engineered. This deep dive from The Verge exposes how Jeffrey Epstein and his team used #SEO and #PR tactics to control what appeared when you searched his name online
A stark reminder: in the digital age, your search result can be the story you tell—and the story you bury. Your online reputation is no longer just what you build — it’s what you hide.
