The fire service and many police departments around the nation join annually to pay tribute to the members lost on September 11, 2001.
They have a saying: “We climb because they climbed!”
So today, the GRCTC Fire class climbed 110 floors in full gear and air packs, each carrying a photo in respect of the 343 firefighters of FDNY, 23 police officers of the NYPD, and the 37 Port Authority Police Officers that were lost 23 years ago.
