@AVGVTVS_C @Matt_Dillahunty Even animals often show friendly behaviour to each other after conflicts. Forgiveness is just as natural to humans as revenge. From an evolutionary perspective this makes totally sense as forgiveness allows to let go of conflicts and move on to cooperate.

@AVGVTVS_C @Matt_Dillahunty I haven't "decieded" to be not impressed. I'm genuinly not impressed. At least not to a degree that satisfies believers. Jesus teached many principles that I agree on, but none of them were knew to humanity or uniqie to religion.

A significant scientific developpment only started in the 17th and 18th century after/during the enlightment which was heavily inspired by the idea of emancipating oneself from religion. Tracing that back to Aquinas is quite a stretch.

Ancient Greeks calculated the circumference of the Earth hundreds of years before Jesus, let alone Thomas Aquninas. You don't need a God to be curious about the world you live in lol
