A 30-year-old man fighting bone cancer allegedly suffers sexual assault while in police custody in Haryana. His case is a tragic reminder that when the law is built on the assumption that men cannot be victims of sexual violence, many are left without meaningful legal recognition or support. Justice must never depend on gender.

It’s time to strengthen gender-neutral laws and establish a National Commission for Men so that every victim receives equal protection under the law.
