This is how the former GT Bank staff, Christopher Arthur spent the GH¢12 million
Mr. Christopher Arthur, a former staff member of GT Bank Ghana who was dismissed and is currently facing embezzlement charges, allegedly used part of the stolen GH¢12 million to fund a lavish lifestyle.
Multiple reports indicate that he spent the money on the following:
• GH¢600,000 on Aviator betting
• A luxury trip to Dubai with his wife
• Opening a spa for his wife
• Purchasing a new car for his wife
• Opening another spa for his girlfriend on Spintex Road
• Extending loans to several individuals, including some GT Bank staff members.
It is also alleged that Arthur frequently transferred funds to a hotel attendant, Adafia Caesar Shadrack, who maintained accounts with Access Bank and Zenith Bank and retained a percentage of the amounts.
Adafia has since been arrested and granted bail, while Christopher Arthur remains on trial.
@Bond_not_james 1. You’re not Ghanaian and you don’t know what went on with our denomination. Speak for your dying currency.
2. If it’s that easy why didn’t Obasanjo just ‘remove’ zeros from your Naira? When Kufuor did for us?
3. We’re in ‘25, Ghs in 2005 doesn’t matter. So we care less
