@DurgaIndia1 Yes. Societal pressure is a death trap for a man to come out of the closet. Men are still considered 'being a man' only when seen with a woman.

[Ramya Raghavendra @Ramya_Raghav]

@DurgaIndia1 @AnkushBahuguna You mean henpecked??
#ToxicMasculinity #patriarchy

[Ramya Raghavendra @Ramya_Raghav]

@DurgaIndia1 Yes and proud to know them too! What is the difference? A man can take care of the house as much as a woman can and be open and proud to say it. #ToxicMasculinity #patriarchy

[Ramya Raghavendra @Ramya_Raghav]

@DurgaIndia1 Is this statement by a man or a woman?
#stopstereotyping #ToxicMasculinity

[Ramya Raghavendra @Ramya_Raghav]

@DurgaIndia1 Comfort him as much as would a fellow woman.
#StopStereotyping

[Ramya Raghavendra @Ramya_Raghav]

@DurgaIndia1 Totally. It sends out the wrong message. Media is a big contributing factor to #patriarchy and stereotyping. The way they show women being helpless and depending is sick! Women are mentally, emotionally and rationally much stronger than men & now physical strength is no barrier too

[Ramya Raghavendra @Ramya_Raghav]

@AnugrahaVenugo1 @DurgaIndia1 You hit the nail @AnugrahaVenugo1

[Ramya Raghavendra @Ramya_Raghav]

@DurgaIndia1 Totally agree and heard it several times

[Ramya Raghavendra @Ramya_Raghav]

@DurgaIndia1 Very derogatory to a woman. Why should men not lose against women? Don't all men do at some point?
#ToxicMasculinity #patriarchy

[Ramya Raghavendra @Ramya_Raghav]

@DurgaIndia1 None of the above 😂
#ToxicMasculinity #patriarchy

[Ramya Raghavendra @Ramya_Raghav]

@DurgaIndia1 Why should a man be the provider and protector? break the norm! #ToxicMasculinity #patriarchy

[Ramya Raghavendra @Ramya_Raghav]

@DurgaIndia1 Heard it many time especially when there is a stereotype created in our society about men and boys should not cry because it's mean they are not 'being a man'
#ToxicMasculinity #patriarchy

[Ramya Raghavendra @Ramya_Raghav]

@DurgaIndia1 Absolutely. I was told not to teach my daughter my mother tongue because my husband and his family spoke a different language
#ChallengePatriarchy

[Ramya Raghavendra @Ramya_Raghav]

@DurgaIndia1 Talk about women's place is in the kitchen and taking care of kids and it's a man's right to provide for the family #Patriarchy

[Ramya Raghavendra @Ramya_Raghav]

@DurgaIndia1 Every woman has experienced #Patriarchy and still is experiencing starting from the food she eats to clothes she wears
#ChallengePatriarchy

[Ramya Raghavendra @Ramya_Raghav]

@DurgaIndia1 Women should stands up for themselves and their sisters and fight the supression, the myth of #Patriarchy and show the we are equal. There has to be a radical change in the thought process and teaching patterns
#ChallengePatriarchy

[Ramya Raghavendra @Ramya_Raghav]

@Pvaradarajan @DurgaIndia1 It's a constant fight against men and women who think #Patriarchy is a right and way of life, that it's alright to be unequal
#challengepatriarchy

[Ramya Raghavendra @Ramya_Raghav]

@minigiri11 @DurgaIndia1 I agree... making someone feel less of themselves because of #genderineqality is unacceptable
#challengepatriarchy
