اليوم أنهيت تدريبي الصيفي في مستشفى السعودي الألماني وبعد شهر مليء بالتعلم كانت تجربة غيرت فيني الكثير وأضافت لي على أكثر من مستوى

ممتنة لكل الأخصائيين والمشرفين على وقتهم وتوجيههم وحرصهم على تعليمنا ولكل من ساهم في جعل هذه التجربة ثرية وممتعة

Learned the phlebotomy workflow, practiced venipuncture and had the opportunity to draw blood from both myself and a patient under supervision.

Today’s Core Lab training 🧪💯

🔹Specimen Verification, Specimen Rejection and specimen routing.
🔹Performed testing on Stago and Abbott Alinity c/i.
🔹Ran routine QC and used HIS, LIS, and AMS for specimen and result management including Critical Value reporting🚨

Core Lab🌟 Day 3
Today we prepared and stained a blood smear, performed weekly maintenance for the Alinity c/i and prepared Stago QC reagents while running routine Quality Control.

We also reviewed the Levey–Jennings graph to apply Westgard Rules and ensure QC accuracy.

Today we explored the lab workflow and sample journey.
learned the operating principles of the Stago, Abbott Alinity c/i, Abbott Alinity hq and Alifax (ESR) analyzers.
Performed instrument maintenance, calibration and quality control (QC).

Today’s practical included:
• Detection of ESBL-producing bacteria using CTX-M
• Detection of carbapenemase-producing bacteria (CRE) using CARBA
• Gram staining and microscopic examination
• Bacterial culture and identification

Today we performed Rh/K phenotyping and identified our own Rh/K antigen profiles🩸

🌟Mine was C+, E−, c+, e+, K−
