If Iran and Russia wade into the Palestine conflict would Iran, Russia and potentially China and Pakistan then form an official alliance against the war?
Would you then call this alliance “The Axis” or the more positively branded “The Allies”?
@LynAldenContact@LynAldenContact - How does the thesis to invest in banks (due to high rates at the moment) square with the overall thesis of the need for lower rates due to a sovereign debt bubble? Wouldn’t rates normalize lower within the 5 year window?
.@SpeakerPelosi: "When we're having this discussion, it's important to dispel some of those who say, well it's the government spending. No, it isn't. The government spending is doing the exact reverse, reducing the national debt. It is not inflationary."
By weaponizing the banking system against enemies outside and within, advanced economies are losing their 'risk free' status. This may not change the global currency order for now, but could lead to a wild scramble for gold and other tangible assets.

@stateofthecity @adam_tooze Im confused. If russia adopts mmt which results in inflation as a result of deficit spending (money printing) wouldn’t the sanctions have still been useful? - Not sure what im missing here
