@FoodProfessor Canada has much to learn when it comes to retail generally and liquor sales in particular. The wonderful, small stores and bars selling beautiful products outside our borders is proof. The government store and large chain restaurant are pushed to our detriment.

@SteveSaretsky The public sector needs to continue to grow, to create more regulations and fees, to effectively suck dry the self-employed sector. Recent enforcement actions of the BC Liquor Board on small local, quality operators are a case in point.

@Dave_Eby the treatment of Loula’s and other licensees recently is disgusting. The Province needs to get its act together in formulating sane and societally acceptable liquor laws. A total waste of scarce resources on a vulnerable commercial segment.
