@carney Trump's supporters were ignorant about tariffs. They believed Trump's fairy tales about China paying us to rebuild our factories. The Trump Fatigue finally settled in when diesel hit $6.50.
@travisakers Jefferson, JQ Adams, Pierce - swore on law books
Teddy Roosevelt, Calvin Coolidge, Trump - swore on nothing
LBJ - swore on Kennedy's Catholic prayer book (it was the only thing available on Air Force One)
@TheChadReinhard I think there's plenty of mental illness on both sides of the political spectrum. But Republicans seem to have learned how to harness it and monetize it, to the point where it is now an integral component of the party itself.
@robkhenderson What a bizarre thing for him to say. Dave had been shifting towards the right for years, cultivating conservative fans. And he said nice things about Charlie last year...and now he tosses it all away with one line?
@mitchellvii Nobody "cracked the algorithm". They saw something they didn't understand, immediately sent it to a bunch of other people who A) also didn't understand, and B) were in a deep state of denial. The so-called "algorithm" can be easily cross-checked against paper ballots.
@george18kennedy What I enjoy about posts like this is that eventually the MAGA types will conclude that they need to "fight fire with fire", so they'll plan an elaborate voter fraud scheme in '28. Which of course will be caught. And there won't be a Republican president to pardon them this time.
@JennMGreenberg When you use the word "became", you're supporting the claim that God is non-binary.
When you use the phrase "biological male", you are sexualizing God, and you know it.
@dhpreps For those who don't know: in high school football rules, a "field goal attempt" is treated the same as a punt. Some schools prefer to punt this way because their kicker can get more distance.
@terri4436166795@Dennis_Porter_ They already finished counting all available ballots. At this point they are waiting for 1) last-minute mail-in ballots to arrive, and 2) proof of ID/registration from anyone who submitted an affidavit ballot. The deadline is Tuesday.
