iPhoneで顔認証を設定しててもiCloudの乗っ取りから、証券口座まで狙われる。でも知ってた？iPhoneには無料の「高度なデータ保護」がある。設定方法、全部まとめた。↓

まず、SBI証券が日本証券業協会の通知を受けて注意喚起しているのが、AppleやGoogleのアカウントを狙う手口。

アカウントを乗っ取る
↓
保存されたパスキーや、パスワードを書いたメモを悪用
↓
証券口座に不正ログイン・不正取引された疑い。

「iPhoneは顔認証で守っとるのに？」

そう。手元のiPhoneで本人確認することと、Appleアカウントやクラウドの情報を守ること。両方が必要。

そこで確認したいのが「高度なデータ保護」。何ができるかというと、写真・メモ・バックアップを、「Appleでさえ中身を読めない暗号化」で守れる。クラウド側からデータが漏れても、中身を読ませないための設定。パスキーは標準でも、この仕組みで保護されている。今回は、その守りを写真やメモなどにも広げる。

アカウント乗っ取り対策と併せて使いたい、もう一段の守りと設定手順は以下。

①「高度なデータ保護」をオンにする。

途中で、復旧方法の設定・確認を求められる。

なぜか？Appleでも中身を読めなくなるので、自分が入れなくなったときの復旧方法を、先に用意する必要があるから。選ぶのは、次のどちらか。

家族など信頼できる人を選び、案内に沿って依頼

困ったときに、その人から復旧用のコードを教えてもらう仕組み。「家族に写真やメモを見られるん？」見られない。復旧を手伝ってもらうだけ。

画面の案内に従い、28文字のキーを控える

キーを確認して設定完了

キーは紙に控えて、安全な場所へ。iCloudの写真・メモ・Driveには保存しない。iCloudに入れなくなったときの鍵を、iCloudの中にしまっとったら取り出せん・・。なお、復旧キーを選ぶと、Appleの通常のアカウント復旧手続きは使えなくなる。信頼できる端末もキーも失うと、復旧できなくなるおそれがある。両方必須ではない。自分が管理できる方法を選ぼう。

復旧方法を用意したら、案内に沿って「高度なデータ保護」をオン。これで、写真・メモ・バックアップなどの守りが強くなる。

追加料金はかからない。有料のiCloud＋契約も不要。設定できないときは、同じApple Accountで使っているiPadやMacなども、更新が必要か確認しよう。

※以前のiOSでは「WebでiCloudデータにアクセス」という項目。

これで、ブラウザのhttps://t.co/Fq5MsQ2UMNから写真・メモ・ファイルなどを見る入口を閉じられる。自分のiPhoneのアプリや、端末間の同期はそのまま。「探す」も使える。普段、ブラウザでiCloudの写真やメモを見ないなら、確認しておきたい設定。
なお、「高度なデータ保護」をオンにすると、Webアクセスも自動でオフになる。②だけ先に設定することもできる。

最後に、Appleアカウント自体の守りも確認。
③設定→自分の名前→サインインとセキュリティ→「2ファクタ認証」を確認
④設定→自分の名前→下に並ぶ端末に、知らないものがないか確認

「セキュリティ強化のため、こちらから再設定してください」そんな連絡が来ても、リンクから進まず、自分で「設定」を開こう。

顔認証を設定した。パスキーも入れた。そこまでやっている人こそ、保存している情報の守りも確認しておきたい。無料でできること、まだある。今日、iCloudの設定まで一度見てみよう。
